• Additional pay for married personnel during a deployment encourages hasty decisions to get married before deployment and unnecessary marital hardships.

• Parental access to information about wounded Single S.A.M.S. is often restricted and incomplete.  Parents should have the same access as spouses in these extreme times of need.

•  Redeployment classes often focus wholly on readjustment to married life. Single S.A.M.S. are often forced to endure these inappropriate classes, and the issues they face after combat duty are ignored.
